Osmosis is a method used to remove particles and ions from the water
using natural methods. Basic osmosis (not reversed) is when water is
separated by a membrane allowing particles to pass from a high
concentration to a low concentration. With Reverse Osmosis, we apply pressure to the side with the contaminated water, and change the membrane to one that the particles cannot pass through. Thus only water passes onto the "clean" side.
Even though we use very scientifically advanced membranes, they can still be damaged by the contaminants on the concentrated side. Thus, we need to service the Reverse Osmosis unit once a year to maintain it's effectiveness. This system gives you clean, pure, natural water which can be used for drinking, ice cubes, watering plants, and anything else you would normally use water for.
Reverse Osmosis purifies water, and makes it taste better, fresher, and cleaner. It treats a wide variety of aesthetic contaminants that cause unpleasant taste, color, and odor problems. Reverse Osmosis is also very effective at treating health contaminants like arsenic, asbestos, atrazine (herbicides/pesticides), fluoride, lead, mercury, nitrate, and radium.
